Players from the KHL must be nominated. Satan should have pressured the trainers, the TV presenter claims. The union could lose a big sponsor – Representation – Hockey

Without the talented youngsters Dalibor Dvorský or Filip Mešár, but with players from the Russian KHL. The nomination for the Olympic qualification stirred up passions, now more information is leaking to the light, according to which the original nomination was without Slovaks working in Russia.

According to journalist and TV presenter Markíz Tomáš Ďutka, the head of the union and the general manager of the Slovak national team, Miroslav Šatan, pressured the coaching staff.

“Allegedly, the coaches had a ready nomination without players from the KHL. But Satan allegedly threw her off the table saying that the players from Russia must be there,” wrote Ďutka on Facebook.

One of the leaders of the defense, who has been working in the NHL for several years, was supposed to be against their participation.

“Young Dvorský and Mešár were told to wait because there was no place for them. It is said that Fehérváry also has a problem with that, he has already renounced, I think, although he gave a different reason. And now the Pospíšilovci…” writes Ďutka.

“It’s a great shame, moreover, those players from Mordor (from Russia, note) are not so different that we need them,” thinks Ďutka.

Sponsors and partners of the national team who do not like the participation of players from Russia in the national team can appeal to the union.

One of them is also a big sponsor, which is the mobile operator Orange.

“We have been supporting Slovak hockey for more than 18 years. Naturally, we care about his future, so we focus our activities on supporting children and young players.

We are in constant contact with SZľH and monitor the situation. We are glad that Mir Šatan and his team are gradually succeeding in restarting the hockey movement.

However, we do not share a common opinion on this topic,” the company responded in one of the comments on the social network under the post of the futbolovy_var profile.

The definitive form of nomination for Olympic qualification will be known on Monday.

In the meantime, the first goalkeeper who should defend Slovak colors at the tournament in Bratislava, which takes place from August 29 to September 1, was officially announced.

The invitation was given to Samuel Hlavaj, who was a member of the team at the last WC in the Czech Republic.

A total of eight players are known to be fighting for promotion to the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Adam Sýkora, Šimon Nemec, Tomáš Tatar, Martin Pospíšil, Miloš Kelemen, Patrik Koch and Pavol Regenda confirmed their participation.

However, Pospíšil later stated that he will consider his participation in the tournament.
