Shortly after the official unveiling of the long-awaited PlayStation 5 Pro, the Japanese Sony video game console is getting one of its biggest updates to date. It brings major changes to the home screenbut you can also look forward to a number of other interesting gadgets. It is related, for example, to the sound or charging of the controller.
The changes were announced by Sony itself via blog post. The most fundamental innovation is represented by the so-called Welcome hubwhich will replace your current home screen. It will offer the players a wide range of customization optionsfor example using widgetswhich can display, for example, trophies, a list of online friends or the battery status of accessories.

Additionally, PlayStation 5 lets you resize individual tiles to highlight the most important ones. You will also be able to customize the background, either by choosing a theme from the gallery or by choosing your own screenshot from your favorite game.
The Welcome Hub is now expanding to players in the United States of America, it will reach other regions in the coming weeks. The first in line will be Japan, followed by “selected” European countries, and then the rest of the world.
Another new feature will make it possible sharing a link to a group (party) voice chat. By scanning the QR code on the TV screen, you will be able to send it to your friends on any communication platform. In the coming weeks, there will be an update to the PlayStation mobile app that will allow you to share the line directly from your phone.
