Here goes the plowing competition

The plowing competition “Prva brazda” as part of the event “View of the beauty of life in the countryside” will be held from July 19 to 21 in Novi Selo near Vrnjačka Banja.

This manifestation, which is being held for the 12th time, will begin on Friday, July 19, with the opening of the international art colony called “Pictures from the Village”. On Saturday, July 20, numerous activities are planned, including the continuation of the art colony, a plowing village, an exhibition of local handicrafts, workshops, a parade of convalescents and a folk all-around.

The plowing competition will be held on Sunday, July 21, and will be preceded by a festive tractor parade. On the same day, a lecture will be organized for tractor drivers with a knowledge test, as well as a competition in culinary skills called “Tastes of the Homeland”. The entire event will be accompanied by a rich music program.

The general sponsor of the event is the “Modriča” oil refinery, and the sponsors are the association “Novoselac”, the Agency for Traffic Safety, the municipality of Vrnjačka Banja, the Institute for the Application of Science in Agriculture and the association “Prva Brazda”. This is the first time that the event will take place without one of the creators and organizers, the untimely deceased Žarko Marković.

Here goes the public invitation for women

On July 11, 2024, the Ministry of Economy for the first time announced a public call for grants to micro-enterprises whose founders and legal representatives are women, as well as to entrepreneurs engaged in the production of food products in rural areas. The total available grants for the implementation of this program amount to 30 million dinars, and they are intended for financing the purchase of new equipment and raw materials.

Grants are approved in the amount of 100% of the value of the investment, ranging from 300,000 to 500,000 dinars. The public call is open until September 10, 2024. The invitation and accompanying documentation are available on the Ministry’s website and on the Entrepreneurship Portal.
