Poco kicks off the new year with two affordable midrangers. The Poco X7 and X7 Pro are now for sale in the Netherlands and we will tell you everything about the devices.
Poco X7 officially unveiled
The Poco X7 and X7 Pro follow the Poco X6 and X6 Pro from early last year. The Poco X7 is the cheapest device of the two and has a suggested retail price of 249,90 euro. The smartphone is similar to its predecessor in many respects, but improvements have of course been made. The phone has a new MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultra chip, which should perform well and be energy efficient.
The X7’s screen is 6.67 inches and has a high 1.5K resolution and refresh rate of 120Hz. This makes images look sharp and smooth. The maximum brightness has been increased, so that the display now reaches 3000 nits. A layer of Gorilla Glass Victus 2 should prevent scratches and cracks.
Also new is the 50 megapixel main camera, which is equipped with optical image stabilization. In addition, the Poco X7 takes wider photos with an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens and there is a 2 megapixel macro camera for close-ups. The selfie camera has been improved and now has a higher resolution of 20 megapixels.
The battery of the Poco X7, with a capacity of 5110 mAh, is the same size as that of the X6. Strangely enough, the device charges slower. The Poco X7 supports fast charging with up to 45 watts, while the Poco X6 can fill the battery with up to 67 watts.
The Poco X7 appears in the Netherlands with a suggested retail price of 249,90 euro and in three colors (silver, green and black). Versions with more RAM and storage memory are also available, but you will of course pay more for that. An overview of all prices can be found later in this article.
Poco X7 Pro is more powerful
The new Poco X7 Pro is more than 100 euros more expensive than the X7, but it has better specifications. The smartphone has a faster MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultra processor.
That extra computing power is useful if you like to game on your phone. The X7 Pro also remains cool while gaming. The Pro also has an IP68 certification, which means that it can withstand a heavy splash of water.
An important difference with the regular Poco X7 is the battery. The Pro has a battery of no less than 6000 mAh, just like the recently announced OnePlus 13 and 13R. This makes the phone last longer than its predecessor. Charging takes place at a maximum of 90 watts, so you can completely fill the Poco X7 Pro in 42 minutes.
There are two cameras on the back: a 50 megapixel main camera and an 8 megapixel wide-angle lens. Thanks to the higher aperture of f/1.5, the main camera captures more light than before, which should improve night photos. Poco omits the 2 megapixel macro camera from the X7 Pro. There is the same 20 megapixel selfie camera on the front.
The Poco X7 Pro is available for 369,90 euro. You then get the entry-level model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. Versions with more memory have also been announced. The smartphone appears in three colors: black, green and yellow.
