On the 9th, a report was received that a fire had broken out again at POSCO Pohang Steel Mill 3 Finex, where a fire broke out, and fire authorities began extinguishing the fire.

According to the fire department on the 25th, a report was received at 11:18 pm on the previous day (24th) that a fire broke out at the 3Finex plant in Pohang Steel Works in Jecheol-dong, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. A fire official said, “We received a report that the Pohang Steel Works 3 Finex plant, which caught fire not long ago, has caught fire again and is emitting a lot of smoke.” One citizen said, “After I heard an explosion, flames rose,” and another citizen said, “After I heard a ‘bang’ explosion, flames rose.”

When the fire broke out, fire authorities sent 21 fire trucks and dozens of personnel to the scene to extinguish the fire. To date, the extent of the fire or damage has not been confirmed.

An explosion and fire occurred at Pohang Steel Works 3 Finex Plant on the 10th, causing burns to one employee and damage to the facility. On the afternoon of the 19th, POSCO began restarting Pohang Steel Works 3Finex Plant.
