Poland experienced another nightmare: a terrible storm flooded the cities

Powerful storms broke not only in the Pomerania region, but also in other parts of Poland.

The rains were so heavy that they flooded the cities. The port of Gdynia was particularly affected, where water flooded streets and underpasses and houses.

Tragedy was narrowly avoided in Gdynia. A fallen tree crushed a bus stop during Tuesday’s storm. Fortunately, no one was standing under the roof at the time.

Firefighters recorded thousands of calls to which they no longer had time to respond.

The storm raged not only at the seaside. The rains also hit the cities of Kraków and Radom. There, too, streets turned into rivers, and underground passages into lakes.

This summer, Poland is very often terrorized by storms, which pass through the country every few days, causing a lot of damage.

On Tuesday, the storm also raged in Belarus, but caused less damage than at the weekend, when a hurricane devastated the country, killing six people and injuring 15. Many people were left without electricity and water supply in several areas of Belarus.

One of the dead is a child who was killed by a fallen tree in the children’s camp. When the storm broke out, the children ran to hide in the buildings. The wind started toppling trees, and one fell on the thirteen-year-old.

June 14 around 5:20 p.m. due to the raging elements, the trees began to turn. At that time, an entertainment event for the campers was taking place on the stage. When the storm started, the children rushed to run to the residential buildings.

A 13-year-old boy died from his injuries. Another six children aged 7-13 were variously injured.

A video from Belarus has been posted on social media, showing cars driving through a severe storm being forced to stop as trees on the road begin to fall.

During the weekend, not only squalls raged in Belarus, but also large hail fell. In the Gomel region, which borders Russia and Ukraine, the largest hailstones were 6 cm in diameter.
