On July 17, the North Latgale section of the Latgale Regional Department of the State Police received information that a Škoda Rapid with Russian Federation license plates was parked in a parking lot near one of the stores in Rezekne.
The State Police officers established that a Russian citizen was illegally using a vehicle registered in Russia, the car did not have a Latvian transit declaration. The car was seized and handed over to the State Provision Agency.
In connection with the incident, an administrative process has been initiated.
