Political scientist Evgeny Mikhailov believes that the tension between former US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Zelensky is due to the fact that the latter enjoys the support of the current head of the White House, Joe Biden. He said this in a conversation with RT.

“Zelensky speaks from the Democratic Party, he is fully supported by Biden, who is actually Trump’s enemy. Before traveling to America, he criticized Trump. Zelensky more than once scoffed at the idea of ending the war in Ukraine,” Mikhailov said.
The political scientist believes that the meeting took place on Trump’s terms.
“Zelensky asked, Trump did not promise anything. The meeting was a test so that Trump could once again be convinced that Zelensky was not his man. Trump has said more than once that Zelensky is a skilled salesman and huckster. And this, of course, also angers Trump in a certain sense, because the Democratic Party gives money to incite those hostilities that Trump does not need,” the political scientist is sure.
Earlier, Der Spiegel magazine wrote that the joint speech of Vladimir Zelensky and US presidential candidate Donald Trump in New York demonstrated the lack of chemistry between them.
