Porsche 911 Carrera S now has 480 HP and new equipment

Porsche renew the 911 Carrera S focusing even more on power and style. The variant located between the Carrera and the GTS T-Hybrid receives an updated engine, expanded features and a design that recalls the previous generation Turbo models.

Already orderable in Coupé and Cabriolet versions, it can already be ordered with starting prices from 159,447 euros for the first and 173,859 euros for the second.

New life for the boxer engine

The heart of the new 911 Carrera S remains the classic 3-litre twin-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine – combined with the 8-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission -, which now delivers 480 HP and 530 Nm of couple. Thanks to new turbochargers and an optimized cooling system, the engine guarantees a 30 HP increase in power compared to the previous model, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 308 km/h .

In the standard equipment we find several additions, starting with the new 20″ alloy wheels at the front and 21″ at the rear and the sports exhaust system with silver tips. Furthermore, the system is present Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+)which allows for greater agility and readiness when cornering.
The standard braking system is derived from the 911 Carrera GTS and uses 408 mm front and 380 mm rear discs with red calipers.

Those who wish to further enrich the equipment can request the carbon ceramic brakesPASM sports suspension to reduce ground clearance by 10 mm and rear wheel steering.

From granturismo to track supercar

The interior of the 911 Carrera S retain their now typical look, with leather upholstery for the seats, dashboard and door panels. As with other Carrera models, folding rear seats are available at no extra charge as an alternative to the standard two-seat configuration.

And if the standard equipment is not enough, for the Porsche you can also request leather upholstery for the glove compartment door and the side panels of the car. In addition, LED headlights with Matrix HD technology, the lifting system for the front axle and the Sport Chrono package are available, to keep track of the times during your track days.
