Porsche Design and AOC launch the new PD34 ultra-wide gaming monitor

Porsche Design and AGON by AOC, the brand of gaming monitors and IT accessories, announce their latest collaboration: the Porsche Design AOC AGON PRO PD34 gaming monitor. This new 34″ (86.36 cm) QD-OLED curved screen monitor combines the visual concepts of Porsche Design with AGON by AOC’s expertise in cutting-edge display technology. The PD34 model features an 1800R curvature and is specially designed to meet the demanding standards of both professional users and dedicated gamers, offering a mix of performance, precision and style that reflects the spirit of both brands. Porsche Design conceptualized the design of the PD34 by taking inspiration from the radiator grille of a Porsche 911. The PD34 sets new standards in the ultra-wide monitor segment by fusing outstanding design with advanced performance.

Built for visual excellence and competitive advantage

The PD34 monitor incorporates a 34” ultra-wide QD-OLED panel with a UWQHD resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio meticulously designed to provide a wide view for both video games and pro applications. With an exceptional response time of 0.03ms GtG and a refresh rate of 240Hz, the monitor offers clear movement and responsiveness “commensurate with the precise automotive engineering of a Porsche car”. This combination ensures sharp visuals and fluid motion, even in the most demanding eSports scenarios, giving competitive gamers the edge they need to achieve performance.

Every pixel counts

The new PD34 monitor stands out with impressive visual specifications. Its maximum brightness of 1000 nits, together with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, ensures exceptional visibility and infinite contrast thanks to the per-pixel illumination of QD-OLED technology. The screen’s ability to reproduce 1.07 billion colors, covering 100% of sRGB, 99% of AdobeRGB and 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, provides cinematic visual quality with impressive color accuracy straight from the factory. This monitor’s wide color gamut is suitable for both immersive gaming experiences and professional activities in areas such as graphic design and video editing, where color accuracy is essential.

Designed for the most fluid movement

Low input lag, together with Adaptive-Sync technology, including AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certification and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, ensure a fluid visual experience without tearing or stuttering effects. The result is fast and engaging gameplay certified to VESA ClearMR 13000, the top-level benchmark for motion clarity. Game-specific features include a frame-per-second counter and Dynamic Dial Point, a customizable reticle that can change color to stay visible against any background.

Porsche brand design

The design of the monitor is inspired by the look of a Porsche sports car. Its sleek profile and premium materials reflect the sophistication inside and out of such an automobile. The screen’s 21:9 aspect ratio evokes the wide, driver-oriented layout of a dashboard, while the monitor’s controls are as intuitive as the center console. The monitor’s design further features a sandblasted cast aluminum stand reminiscent of a Porsche 911’s steering wheel and wheel spokes, while the rear of the monitor is inspired by its radiator grille.

The height-adjustable stand (130mm) with tilt and swivel options provides ergonomic flexibility, allowing users to find their optimal viewing position, as does the driver’s seat adjustment. Adding to its visual appeal, the PD34 features AOC’s Light FX with RGB lighting that offers 15 different modes, creating an immersive ambiance for any setup.

Connectivity worthy of a command center

The monitor’s connectivity suite is comprehensive and ready for any usage scenario. The monitor has two HDMI 2.1 ports for current generation console support, one DisplayPort 1.4 port, three USB 3.2 downstream ports, one USB 3.2 upstream port and one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port with 65W Power Delivery. The integrated KVM switch and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) mode provide additional flexibility for multitasking professionals. The PD34 integrates seamlessly with AOC’s G-Menu software, allowing users to easily adjust OSD settings and monitor features.

Two dual 8W DTS-certified speakers deliver an audio experience that complements the PD34’s visual performance, delivering rich sound without the need for external audio setups.
