The Porsche Macan range is expanding in Italy with several new features for 2024, including a new rear-wheel drive versionan off-road design package, a new body colour and the introduction of the Macan 4Spositioned between the Macan Turbo and the Macan 4.
New rear-wheel drive version
The rear-wheel drive Porsche Macan is equipped with a 1000 kWh high-voltage battery and an engine positioned on the rear axle that delivers a power output of 340 hp (250 kW). The engine has an active length of 200 mm and a diameter of 210 mm. This drivetrain reduces the overall weight of the vehicle by 110 kg compared to the all-wheel drive version, improving energy efficiency and bringing autonomy up to 641 km.
Porsche Macan 4S, power and performance
The Porsche Macan 4S introduces the system Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) electronically controlled, which distributes power between the axles five times faster than conventional all-wheel drive. Equipped with Launch Control, the Macan 4S achieves a maximum speed of 240 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds.
The range (WLTP standard) is 606 km. The rear motor with 600 Ah SiC pulse inverter, together with the motor on the front axle, provides a total power of 448 hp (330 kW) and a overboost fino a 516 CV (380 kW). Adaptive air suspension with levelling and ride height adjustment, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) are all standard on the Macan 4S.
Updates and prices
Porsche introduced the color Slate Grey Neo and an off-road package that includes a new front bumper geometry, adaptive air suspension and a 10 mm increase in ride height. The package is available in two colours with 21” wheels in Vesuvius Grey and off-road design. In addition, the Macan range has been updated with a revised design of the interior displays.
Il Porsche Driver Experience It now combines digital and analogue elements, including a 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster, a 10.9-inch passenger display and a head-up display with augmented reality.
The two new Macan models can be ordered now and will be delivered in the second half of the year. Prices, including VAT and specific equipment, start at 84.626 euro for the Macan and from 94.917 euro on the Macan 4S.
