Possible construction of the Serbian Sports Museum within the EXPO 2027 project?

The Minister of Sports, Zoran Gajić, said that he will propose that the Museum of Serbian Sports be built as part of the EXPO 2027 project. He believes that such a museum would be an ideal opportunity to present Serbia’s rich history and sporting achievements, stressing that organizing EXPO 2027 is a greater success than winning a gold medal at the Olympic Games.

In an interview with “Novosti”, Gajić stated that Serbia is the only country in the world, besides the former Soviet Union, which managed to win Olympic gold in different team sports such as football, basketball, volleyball, water polo and handball.

He also pointed out that the Museum of Serbian Sports would be a huge facility, considering the size of the sports tradition that Serbia possesses.
