The ground-breaking robot vacuum cleaner is packed with several technological innovations such as the latest MopExtend RoboSwing technology and powerful suction power for those households that want a more in-depth cleaning than the level provided by conventional robot vacuum cleaners.
In May 2024, Dreame’s Robotic Flex Arm Cleaners sold one million units, and with its new technologies, Dreame with the L40 Ultra ushers in a new era of smart cleaning, where neither dirt nor no-nonsense people can hide in the narrow corners of the home.
New technology analyzes the nooks and crannies of the home
With the advanced MopExtend RoboSwing technology, the L40 Ultra can carefully analyze even complex home furnishings and calculate the most optimal times and places where the mops can be used most effectively. The MopExtend unit uses a position-sensitive sensor to precisely detect edges and corners. This automatically increases the reach of the brushes and mops, and makes it possible to clean even hard-to-reach areas that would be a big challenge for conventional cleaning robots.
The extendable side brush can reach four centimeters under low furniture and can automatically rise more than 10 mm, so that there is a fluid transition between floor washing and vacuuming in the same cleaning round. Together with the main brush, it adapts to provide optimal cleaning and effortlessly navigates around objects in the home.
The mops thus avoid cross-contamination, as the main brush can be lifted to 10.5 mm – which is particularly an advantage when cleaning carpets with short fibers and low pile.
Powerful suction power ensures efficient and thorough cleaning
The L40 Ultra’s powerful suction power of 11,000 Pa effectively removes pet hair, dust and dirt and ensures faster and better cleaning results with fewer overruns. The robot vacuum cleaner also has five suction power levels, so the cleaning can be easily adapted as needed.
With its innovative dirt detection function supported by an RGB AI camera, the L40 Ultra can automatically detect dirt on the floor and adjust performance accordingly. It analyzes itself whether it has to take up the fight against stubborn dust along the panels or a congealed sauce stain under the dining table. This technology ensures thorough cleaning with precise cleaning and wiping movements.
Pet families will also greatly benefit from the Anti-Tangle TriCut brush, sold separately. It prevents annoying hair tangling in the robot vacuum cleaner, and with its three specially designed cutting heads located on the roller brush, it sends human and animal hair directly into the dust container, so you don’t have to fight with tufts of hair that get stuck and reduce suction power.
The base station provides all-in-one maintenance
Dreame’s fully automatic and multifunctional base station handles all maintenance of the robot vacuum cleaner for up to 75 days without human intervention. With its 3.2-litre dust bag and intelligent algorithms, it ensures thorough emptying of containers itself, reduces clogging and efficiently provides a hands-free cleaning experience.
After completing its work, the L40 Ultra returns to its base station, where it cleans the mops individually with 65 degree hot water and dries them with hot air for two hours to prevent unpleasant odors. Via the DREAME app, users can choose between four temperature levels – from normal to very hot – to optimize energy consumption.
A fully automatic cleaning is achieved by simply connecting a water hose from the base to the faucet and another water hose to the drain to automatically fill with clean water and get rid of the dirty.
The L40 Ultra can be easily controlled using voice commands or connected to voice assistants such as Alexa, Siri and Google Home.

The L40 Ultra will be available on Dreame’s official website and retailers, including Elgiganten and Power, from week 46. Recommended price: DKK 8,190.
