Premiere on Channel One: Tsyganov and Ovechkin – in the series “A Minute of Silence”

The series is based on real events and stories from the world of business. It tells the story of a major entrepreneur Valery Korolev (Evgeny Tsyganov). In the story, after an earthquake in Islamic Naristan, a man with amnesia is discovered. Before it turns out that this is one of the richest people in Russia, he, together with the psychologist of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Maria Streltsova (Olga Lerman), will have to flee from persecution by the special services in an attempt to understand who he is and why he flew to Naristan…

The series was directed by Ilya Shekhovtsev (“Phantom”, “Such Work”) from a script by Ilya Tilkin (“Stalingrad”, “Gregory R.”, “The Librarian”). The author of the idea is Vladimir Potanin. The cast, in addition to the mentioned Evgeny Tsyganov and Olga Lerman: Sergey Gazarov, Andrey Smirnov, Artem Tkachenko, as well as Maria Matsel, Vladislav Tiron, Pavel Vorozhtsov and others. In the series, one of the last roles of Roman Madyanov. And a bright cameo – the appearance of the famous hockey player Alexander Ovechkin in the role of himself.

The title of the series, “A Minute of Silence,” is a reference to the term rescuers. When clearing the rubble, a specific time period is announced during which complete silence is maintained. This is an opportunity to hear that someone is still alive – whether it is a groan or a call for help. The life circumstances of the main character of the story are such “minutes of silence.”

Igor Tolstunov, general producer, says that the action of the film, both its actual part and flashbacks, take place in some fictional country in the Middle East: “We deliberately decided not to name a specific place, so as not to fall into claims about any mistakes … We went to Syria and managed to film in Damascus, Aleppo and Latakia. Among the expeditions there was also Norilsk, where we filmed on location a power plant, a port, and most importantly, a real one. plant… And part of the romantic line, of course, is in Paris.”

Evgeny Tsyganov, an actor, says about his hero: “…In the plot, I found it interesting the moment of zeroing, when you seem to rediscover yourself for yourself. And how then you gradually remember your past self, and you are faced with a choice – to accept yourself as that , who you were, or treat this situation as some kind of chance to change your life. And my hero has something to change, because at his age, and he is well over 40, he. famously ruined his life: his relationship with his father and daughter was destroyed, he, by and large, has no friends, his close friend and business partner turns out to be a traitor, and the ways in which he created his business do not really suit him. ..”.
