The president of Galp Energia, Filipe Silva, decided to leave his role, citing “family reasons”. The information was transmitted this Tuesday by the company in a statement to the Securities Market Commission (CMVM).
The CEO’s departure has “immediate effects”, with the company announces that the new leader will be announced “in the coming days”.
“I would like to emphasize Filipe’s contribution to the company over the last 12 years, a period during which his dedication was important for Galp’s growth”, comments Paula Amorim, president of Galp’s Board of Directors, in the statement issued this Tuesday – fair.
On this note, Paula Amorim, who is also the face of the company’s main shareholder, argues that “Galp’s Executive Committee continues to be in the hands of a highly qualified team, which will guarantee the execution and implementation of the company’s strategy”.
Maria João Carioca is Galp’s financial administrator, and Georgios Papadimitriou, Ronald Doesburg, Rodrigo Vilanova and João Diogo Silva are also part of the executive team.
