Prices on the markets of “colorful” cabbage have gone up!

During the past week, a somewhat weaker supply of southern fruit was recorded throughout Serbia, and prices on the markets varied. Notable was the excellent offer of cabbage, but also the slightly higher price.

Prices of fruits and vegetables at Kvantaš in Belgrade

A weaker supply of pears and plums was recorded compared to the previous period at the Quanta market in Belgrade. Raspberries could still be bought in some places, while the supply of blueberries was negligible, and the price was high for our conditions.

The offer of apples and grapes was average, so the price was varied. The supply of southern fruit was weaker. Bananas and oranges were more expensive, while kiwis, some varieties of apples, grapefruit and hazelnuts were cheaper.

There were no significant changes in the offer of vegetable crops, with the exception of a better offer of cabbage. Sales were at an average level. As far as prices are concerned, cherry tomatoes and garlic were more expensive.

In contrast to them, chard, kale, gherkin cucumber, salad cucumber, potatoes, lettuce and greens were cheaper.

A solid offer of vegetables at the Kalenić market

The offer of peaches, nectarines, plums and raspberries was weaker compared to the previous period at the Kalenić market in Belgrade. Increases in prices were recorded for bananas, blueberries and nectarines, while quinces, lemons, pomegranates and figs were cheaper.

The trend of a solid offer of seasonal and out-of-season vegetables at the market stalls continued. A drop in the prices of green beans, gherkins, salad cucumbers, onions and spinach was recorded. Cabbage and hot pepper were more expensive.

Market prices – Požarevac

According to the report of the STIPS reporter from Požarevac, last week the offer of fruit at the green market was average. Compared to the previous period, peaches, apples and pears were cheaper.

As for vegetables, the offer was at last week’s level and only garlic was more expensive, since the amount of 580 din/kg dominated.

Prices of fruits and vegetables in Kikinda

At the green market in Kikinda, the offer of fruits and vegetables was usual for this period of the year. Compared to the previous period, grapes of the Afus Ali variety, apples of the Ajdared variety, celery, spinach and Babura pepper were more expensive.

A drop in prices was recorded for gherkins, potatoes, garlic and carrots.

Market in Čačak

The offer of vegetables, rather than fruit, was better in the week after us, at the green market in Čačak. Sales were average, and prices varied.

Growth was recorded in apples of the Zlatni delišes variety, other peppers and bell peppers. The price of cabbage was lower.
