Primorac held on against the champions until the middle of the last quarter

Water polo players from Primorje were defeated on the road to New Belgrade at the opening of the Regional Water Polo League – 14:12 (2:2, 6:3, 2:3, 4:4).

Vjekoslav Pasković’s team took a 2:0 lead, but the reigning league champion, Novi Beograd, soon equalized.

In the second quarter, goal after goal was played, but with the score 5:4, Novi Beograd took a two-goal advantage for the first time. At halftime, the home team led with three goals – 8:5.

Primorac tried to get back into the game, won the third quarter with 3:2, at the end of the last quarter and only a goal minus (10:9), but Novi Beograd scored two goals for 12:9 and solved the question of the winner.

The winner was led by Angelos Vlahopulos with five goals, Miloš Ćuk scored three, Strahinja Krstić and Vasilije Martinović scored two each, Nikola Lukić and Đuro Radović scored one each.

Nika Šušiašvili and Marko Mršić were the most efficient in the Kotoranapo team with three, Savo Ćetković and Srđan Janović gave two each, Draško Brguljan and Dušan Matković one each.
