A UK prison officer has been arrested after she was filmed having sex with an inmate. The video of the guard and the prisoner was shared with the inmates of the prison Five Wells nel NorthamptonshirAnd. “A prison officer has been suspended and arrested by Northamptonshire Police on suspicion of misconduct in a public office,” a prison spokesperson said. “It would be inappropriate to comment further while investigations are ongoing.”
Earlier this year, penitentiary police officer Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, ended up at the center of a similar story: she had in fact pleaded guilty to misconduct after having sex with an inmate in a cell outside Interior of Wandsworth Prison, South London. The investigations were started after officers became aware of a video shot inside the penitentiary.
In the video, the inmate who filmed the sex act could be heard joking: “This is how we live here in Wandsworth.” And then: “Guys, we made history, here’s what I tell you”, while he takes the unmistakable images in a penitentiary cell. In the video the woman is wearing a prison guard’s uniform. Vanessa Frake, former head of security at Wormwood Scrubs, called the footage “shocking”. A Prison Service spokesperson said: “Staff corruption is not tolerated and the former prison officer featured in this video has been reported.”
