Pro-Palestinian demonstrators gathered in the center of Amsterdam, defying a ban imposed after the serious incidents at the end of the football match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Dozens of demonstrators, some with Palestinian flags, chanted “Amsterdam say no to genocide” and “Free Palestine,” according to Al Jazeera.

In the last days, the Dutch police stopped several people who wanted to protest. All demonstrations were banned in the Dutch capital until Thursday, and the police were given increased powers to intervene effectively.
