Problems with one of the suppliers. Apple has suspended orders

Apple uses numerous suppliers of components from which devices are later assembled. One of them is Kersen, which supplies bearings.

As reported by DigiTimes editors, Apple has suspended orders from this company due to a problem with the quality of the parts supplied. The defects turned out to be so serious that the American giant transferred orders to other contractors.

Supposedly, none of the delivered bearings have made it into the final device yet. Interestingly, these parts are used in previous MacBook Air models.

One person familiar with the matter says Apple’s “aggressive pricing policy” towards suppliers increases the risk of problems with the quality of supplied parts.
