Only corn, no soy
In the week behind us, a total of 1,165 tons of goods were traded through the Product Exchange, (-11.74%), the financial value of which amounted to 26,533,000.00 dinars. Extremely weak activity of all market participants was noticeable on the market. The primacy in trading was taken by corn, while soybeans were absent from trading.
Corn on top, but…
Throughout the week, there was a price spread between supply and demand on the corn market, which made it much more difficult to conclude exchange contracts. In addition to the level of aflatoxin in corn, a significant difference in price was also noticeable depending on the parity. Exchange contracts were concluded in the price range from 18.20 to 19.80 dinars/kg without VAT. The weighted price was 18.88 din/kg without VAT (20.77 din/kg with VAT), showing a price drop of 0.36% compared to seven days earlier. Corn accounted for 58% of the total weekly turnover.
Wheat market calm
Wheat was traded in the price range from 21.00 to 23.10 din/kg without VAT. The weighted price was 22.33 din/kg without VAT (24.56 din/kg with VAT), showing a price drop of 1.80% compared to the previous week. Wheat with a higher protein content (14%) was also traded at a single price level of 26.00 din/kg without VAT. The wheat market throughout the week was extremely calm, except for the last working day when the market saw an increased demand for wheat with 11-11.5% protein.
No soy in the game this time
There are no changes on the soybean market compared to the previous week. Extremely weak activity of participants on both the supply and demand side resulted in no traffic.
The price of fodder barley
Feed barley with HL 62kg was offered at a price of 21.50 din/kg without VAT.
Artificial fertilizer
The artificial fertilizer was offered in the formulation NPK 12:32:16 25/1 at 64.55 din/kg without VAT, NPK 8:20:30 25/1 at 63.97 din/kg without VAT, NPK 10 :26:26 25/1 at 63.97 din/kg without VAT. The price for NPK 15:15:15 25/1 was 51.05 din/kg without VAT, for NPK 16:16:16 25/1 52.81 din/kg without VAT, while KAN, Hungarian offered in the price range from 33.45 to 34.04 din/kg without VAT.
