Serial production of the new generation BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe (F74) has officially begun at the factory in Leipzig, Germany.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe also completes the renewed lineup at the Leipzig plant: in addition to the F74, the new BMW 1 Series (F70), 2 Series Active Tourer (U06) and Mini Countryman (U25) are also built at this location.
The BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe is currently produced exclusively in Leipzig and is exported worldwide from there. The most important export markets are the USA and Great Britain.
In total, up to 1,300 vehicles (500 Minis and 800 BMWs) can be produced daily at the Leipzig plant.
