Was robbed of his Christmas presents
Kristoffer Appelquist was late in buying clappers for his family members this year, and therefore enlisted the help of a friend to ship the packages down to Skåne where his family lives.
– I didn’t trust Postnord, so I called for help on Facebook. A childhood friend stood up and offered to take the packages down to Skåne, says Kristoffer in an interview in The Express.
When he had wrapped all the patties, Kristoffer realized that he had forgotten to buy Christmas gift tags, so he stopped at a Coop store to arrange this quickly and smoothly – something that had unexpected consequences.

“I broke down”
When Kristoffer got back to the car after the stay at the Coop, all the Christmas presents were gone.
– Then I broke down, it was the cleanest breakdown I’ve had in years. I sat behind the wheel and just cried. I had struggled like a fucking fool to fix the Christmas presents, so I felt incredibly sorry for myself, says Kristoffer.
According to him, it is not impossible that he forgot to lock the car, but he still suspects that the thieves may have used a certain technique to block the car key’s signal.
– It feels comforting to think that it is not me who is forgetful, but that it is the criminals’ technology that has become unbeatable, he says.
Kristoffer then called for his packages in a group on Facebook, but the pats could not be found. He also points out that he tries to look at the situation positively.
– All Christmas joy apparently does not reside in Christmas presents. I try to think that the overshirt I bought for my dad ended up with someone who fitted it and was happy. I wouldn’t have thought that at any other time of the year, but I think that’s the attitude you have to have at Christmas, he says.
