Prointer’s last two accounts were also closed

BANJALUKA – The banks closed the last two accounts of the company “Prointer”, which three months ago was sanctioned by the Office for the Control of Foreign Assets of the US Ministry of Finance (OFAC), which ended their business story, at least under this name.

This happened yesterday, in the moments when Bojan Vujić, one of the key people of this project, was in front of the media “laid down his arms” and confessed that the idea of repackaging “Prointer” into “”Invictus Technology group” failed.

“Prointer” will soon be closed, leaving behind numerous open questions that followed the process of its shutdown, such as the rights of banks to refuse cooperation and legal restrictions of the Banking Agency of the Republika Srpska.

The public was deprived of concrete answers as to what will happen to the work entrusted to this company by the Government of the Republic of Srpska, such as the computer system for the control of games of chance (RAS), the professional institution for the control of technical inspections, the SAP system for enterprise management that has been implemented in many enterprises. and which brought them millions of marks over the years.

Although they claim that there will be no problems, they did not explain how they will work without business accounts and whether they have handed over the work to someone else. As there was no response yesterday, we sent them again today, and will publish them when we receive them.

Until then, we remind you that “Prointer” appeared on the market in 2015, which it ended with nine employees and revenues slightly higher than 650,000 marks, from which they earned 133,305 KM.

From a company that was imperceptible on the IT market of Republika Srpska, which was dominated by big players like the company “Lanaco”, in just a few years they became an indispensable factor in all large projects financed by the Government of Republika Srpska, its companies and institutions.

Data on Prointer’s operations from 2015 to 2023

While other companies in this sector progressed in small steps with a focus on foreign markets, Prointer had a rocket attached to its back powered by public money.

By 2019, the company had 22.8 million KM in revenue, 53 employees and 2.7 million KM in profit. Revenues doubled a year later, so the public rightly suspected that the very top of the government in Srpska was behind this story.

Even SNSD president Milorad Dodik could not remain silent in the face of growing suspicions, so he admitted to the lectern of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska in July 2019 that his son Igor was an associate of this company.

He is not the owner, nor an authorized person, but he is an associate of that company, deals with new technologies, cooperates with foreign companies and has income from it.“, Dodik said, among other things, in response to the calls of Draško Stanivuković, the current mayor of Banja Luka.

Although they tried many times to distance themselves from the Dodiks, “Prointer” never succeeded because they could never reasonably explain their sudden business success.

As a reminder, OFAC put them on its list precisely because of the suspicion that they were part of a network for financial support for this family.

Also, their exponential growth continued, so last year a record revenue of almost eighty million marks was achieved, of which more than 25 million was net profit.

That was the end of this company. The figures show that by the end of 2023, they had a total income of 333.65 million marks, of which they had 51.6 million KM left in profit.
