Eco-workshops within the project “Eco Serbia” were held in Vrbas. The aim of the project is to raise the awareness of young people about ecology, environmental protection and the importance of nature conservation.
In Vrbas, two workshops were held at the “Žarko Zrenjanin” Gymnasium, where the “Envision Eco Serbia” team socialized with high school graduates and third-grade students. At these workshops, students had the opportunity to gain new knowledge about the biodiversity that surrounds them through panel discussions and interesting quizzes.
The topics covered during these four workshops are energy efficiency, the Red Book and biodiversity protection. Special emphasis was placed on the replacement of public lighting, LED lighting, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources such as wind farms. They also spoke about the Jegrička Nature Park and the Čarnok archaeological site, where they explored their ecological and cultural values.
