“The PS announced that it would make the State Budget for 2025 viable, which included a 1 percentage point reduction in the IRC. Therefore, will not make this reduction in specialty unfeasible”the PS parliamentary group announced in a note sent to Lusa after today’s PSD and CDS-PP announced that they would move forward with a 2-point reduction in IRC if a “compromise solution” of one point was rejected.
Socialists warn that any reduction of more than 1 percentage point in the IRC will result in “a lead on the part of the PS, both in the specialty and in the final global vote”.
PS accuses PSD and CDS-PP of “another childish and irresponsible political maneuver” which “could jeopardize the country’s political stability”.
“The Government wanted to create a problem that doesn’t exist”criticized.
The socialists thus refused to “feed the AD Government’s distraction strategies” which they accuse of revealing “incompetence and negligence, as the recent episode of the crisis at INEM demonstrates”.
