PS5 Pro: here is the list of optimized games

Development studios will need to optimize their games to take full advantage of the power of the PS5 Pro. Sony has provided an initial list of optimized titles.

Starting in November, for €800, it will be possible to purchase the PS5 Pro. This console, the most powerful on the market and the most powerful ever designed by Sony, is aimed at a demanding audience. Its goal is to improve performance for those looking to play with a rendering that is both pretty and fluid.

In short, the PS5 Pro intends to remove the Fidelity (image quality) and Performance (image fluidity) modes offered in the majority of games, in order to offer only one that would combine the two (4K at 60 frames per second). However, developers will have to do some optimization work in order to obtain a “PS5 Pro Enhanced” badge. This means that their games take advantage of the power of the PS5 Pro.

In a statement published on the PlayStation Blog On September 10, Sony shared a first list of titles that will be optimized for the PS5 Pro (with an update). In a post dated the same day, CNETwho was able to play the console, adds that there will be between 40 and 50 games affected by the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” in November. On the occasion of the State of Play broadcast on the night of September 24 to 25, the list of known games has grown.

What about other games?

Other games will still benefit from developments, via a Game Boost applied to the PS4 and PS5 catalogs. PS4 titles will also see their definition improved. To this end, the PS5 Pro will use PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution technology, an upscaling powered by artificial intelligence.
