The Ministry of Mining and Energy announced on Friday that a forum was organized in Kraljevo where citizens had the opportunity to receive the necessary information about the public call for subsidies for the replacement of carpentry.
It was announced that the panel will discuss the improvement of insulation, facades, replacement of inefficient boilers and the installation of solar collectors and panels for the production of electricity for one’s own needs.
Assistant to the Minister of Mining and Energy for Energy Efficiency and Climate Change, Maja Vukadinović, said that the ministry and local self-government allocated 25 million dinars for subsidies this year.
“Subsidies are intended for replacement of carpentry, facade insulation, replacement of inefficient boilers or installation of solar collectors and panels for the production of electricity for own needs. By applying these measures, citizens can achieve significant energy savings and receive subsidies of up to 65 percent of the investment if they opt for more measures,” she said.
Vukadinović said that a special public call for energy-endangered customers is expected soon in Kraljevo.
“Since this year, for the first time, we have foreseen a special public call for socially vulnerable citizens, i.e. energy-vulnerable customers, for which the Ministry and local self-government allocated 6.25 million dinars. These households will be able to receive subsidies for the improvement of energy efficiency in the amount of up to 90 percent of the investment value,” she said and added that these public calls will be announced in 44 local self-government units in Serbia.
Vukadinović emphasized that the project Clean energy and energy efficiency for citizens is implemented in cooperation with the World Bank.
“This year around 12,000 households throughout Serbia will receive subsidies, while by the end of 2027 we will rehabilitate more than 70,000 households,” she said.
The city manager of the City of Kraljevo, Zorica Sretenović, said that there is a great interest of citizens in subsidies for energy efficiency.
“So far, more than 140 applications have arrived and the public call is still ongoing, so I invite all interested citizens to inform themselves and apply. So far, there is the greatest interest in subsidies for the replacement of carpentry,” she said.
