New York police arrested suspect Camel Hawkins, 23, on the day of the incident. It is known that he has been arrested in the past on charges including possession of a weapon and assaulting a police officer. Hawkins was charged with attempted second-degree murder and assault.

Lynskey is currently being treated at the hospital for injuries including skull and rib fractures and organ damage.
