‘Fine Dust Management Specialized Graduate School’ receives award in human resources training field

The award ceremony for this competition was held at the 2024 Industry-Academic-Research Cooperation Expo held at BEXCO in Busan on November 6.
Pukyong National University, through the fine dust management specialized graduate school project, established Korea’s first state-of-the-art remote sensing equipment VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) education program through virtuous cycle industry-academia cooperation and operated industry-academia practical fine dust management master’s and doctoral track courses, etc. The performance was highly praised.
Pukyong National University’s Fine Dust Management Specialization Graduate School Project is a professional manpower training project of the Ministry of Environment and the Korea Environmental Industry and Technology Institute that has been operating since 2020 to train master’s and doctoral level professionals for fine dust reduction.
In particular, this business group has high expertise, technology, and education and research capabilities in the field of cutting-edge remote sensing, and is the first graduate school in Korea to establish a real-time high-resolution fine dust monitoring scanning LiDAR observation system and VR and AR education system for remote sensing equipment to provide detailed track subjects. It has been operating.
In addition, through industry-academia cooperation and network formation with related companies, we are strengthening internships and field training for graduate students and nurturing fine dust experts with field practice capabilities.
