Quentin Tarantino’s final breakthrough film Pulp Fiction had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in the spring of 1994, but the film had its actual theatrical release in the USA on October 14th of the same year. Yesterday, exactly 30 years passed since the anniversary.

Samuel L. Jackson had already appeared before Pulp Fiction in, for example, Jurassic Park (1993), but Quentin Tarantino’s film raised him to a whole new level in the Hollywood starry sky.

So it’s no wonder that Jackson raved about Pulp Fiction yesterday on the X service.

“Pulp Fiction changed my life,” praised Samuel L. Jackson. “I knew the film was something special… and after 30 years it still is”.

Pulp Fiction arrived in Finnish cinemas with the subtitle “Stories of violence” on the eve of Christmas Eve 1994. The number of viewers during the theatrical release was just under 130,000.

If you want to celebrate Tarantino’s classic by watching it again, Pulp Fiction is currently streaming on Netflix and Ruudu.
