In addition, this dry sump allows the maximum engine speed to be raised to 7,650 rpm, 100 rpm more than the previous version of the 5.2-liter V8.
The extra power is achieved through a revised intake and exhaust system, a standard titanium exhaust system and a smaller supercharger that improves engine efficiency.

To reach its top speed of 202 mph, the 2025 Mustang GTD features a Drag Reduction System (DRS) that adjusts the angle of the rear wing and activates flaps at the front of the vehicle.
