Putin orders development of plan to promote Russian brands

Russian goods, primarily industrial ones, should be recognizable and accessible to foreign buyers. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting of the State Council Presidium on the issue of export development.

According to the head of state, domestic goods are currently known in the world in narrow segments. “At the same time, our enterprises are ready to produce a large range of high-quality, competitive, environmentally friendly products,” the Russian leader said. In this regard, he instructed “to promote them responsibly and professionally so that as many potential buyers as possible know about them.”

The Russian Federation is an active participant in international trade, despite the difficulties of Russian business, Putin emphasized. “In some areas, for example, in food supplies, Russia has already become one of the world’s leading exporters,” the president is quoted as saying “RIA Novosti”.

In addition, Putin reported that the share of settlements in rubles for Russian exports is approaching 40%, and the share of “toxic” Western currencies in these transactions is significantly reduced.

Earlier, during a visit to a St. Petersburg enterprise, Putin announced that UAV production would increase tenfold by the end of 2024.
