Putin: Russia will fight in Ukraine until victory

Russia’s forces are ready to keep fighting in Ukraine until they are victorious.

This is what Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, says in Moscow, the capital of Russia.

It is not clear how long it will last, but Russian soldiers will stay until victory is achieved, he adds.

He also says that Russia’s armed forces are becoming increasingly technologically advanced.

According to the president, the conflict is between Russia and NATO, which is waging the war with the help of Ukrainian soldiers.

He also says that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s hints that Ukraine will acquire nuclear weapons if the country does not become a member of Nato are “a dangerous provocation”.

– It is a dangerous provocation. Any step in this direction will be met with a corresponding reaction, says the president.

On Friday afternoon, Zelenskyi’s head of state, Andriy Yermak, said that Zelenskyi has not talked about Ukraine considering getting nuclear weapons. This is a translation error.

Putin’s statements come during a press conference he holds for media from the BRICS countries.

From October 22 to 24, Russia is hosting a summit meeting of the BRICS countries, namely Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The initials in English from the five countries have given their name to the collaboration, which was expanded at the turn of the year with the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Ethiopia and Iran.
