According to the decree published in the Russian State Law Information System, individuals and organizations that promote childlessness, non-traditional relationships, and gender reassignment will be identified and fined.
According to the law, persons other than civil servants will be fined up to 100 thousand rubles (about 1000 dollars), civil servants will be fined up to 200 thousand rubles (about 2 thousand dollars), and legal entities will be fined up to 800 thousand rubles (about 8 thousand dollars).
If propaganda is made through media tools, a fine of up to 5 million rubles (approximately 50 thousand dollars) will be imposed or the activities of the organization carrying out this will be suspended for up to 90 days.
Putin also signed a law banning citizens of countries that allow gender reassignment from adopting Russian children.
These laws aim to protect traditional family values and increase the number of children in Russia.
