Russian President Vladimir Putin made his first speech after Donald Trump’s victory in the US election today (Thursday) at the Valdai Forum in the Sochi resort, declaring that “the moment of truth is coming”.
“A new world order is being formed, before our eyes,” Putin said, among other things.
This year’s theme of the forum is “Lasting peace – on what basis? General security and equal opportunities for development in the 21st century” and takes place from 4 to 7 November.
Society is now living in an era of fundamental, revolutionary changes, directly participating in the most complex processes of the modern world, the Russian president said.
“You and I happen to live in a time of fundamental, essentially revolutionary changes, not only to understand, but also to be direct participants in the most complex processes of the first quarter of the 21st century,” he said, speaking at the Valdai forum.
Vladimir Putin declared the death of the New World Order just two days after the election results and a day after Elon Musk’s cryptic “Novus Ordo Seclorum” tweet.
