Both OSes include the SMB daemon broadcast in kernel mode to speed up transfers and efficiently coordinate hardware resources; Furthermore, with QTS 5.2 and QuTS hero 5.2 the Security Center, a real monitoring center to protect the system from ransomware.
Support for the two operating systems lasts until August 2029 and will ensure the availability of patches and security updates for a longer period. With its software lifecycle management policy, QNAP enables IT administrators to plan updates and maintenance without service interruptions.
Long-term support also enables a greater system stability and reduces the risk of downtime, a central aspect for companies that base core business processes on data availability.
