Queen Letizia recycles her favourite H&M dress

There was a time when the opening of the season of Royal Theatre from Madrid was a guarantee of seeing the Queen Letizia with some of her most interesting stylistic choices. For this event, the consort usually wore new clothes and opted to give visibility to new brands in her wardrobe.

Things changed noticeably a year ago, when Letizia reused the acclaimed black dress by The 2nd Skin Co. that she debuted at the 2021 Princess of Asturias Awards. This year, the queen has opted for the same formula and has chosen to dust off her favorite dress again. H&M.

It is a black design with a V-neckline, wide straps, a flared skirt and made in jacquard from the line Conscious which the queen debuted in the summer of 2023 for the Princess of Girona Awards despite the fact that it was part of the Swedish firm’s 2018/2019 collection.

Letizia gave it a second life in May of this year for a private dinner in Zaragoza after a Military Academy event commemorating the 40th anniversary of Felipe VI’s swearing-in of the flag.

The queen had combined the dress on previous occasions with stilettos classics, something that has changed this Monday out of necessity, since the queen has removed the thin heels and narrow shoes from her wardrobe due to the pain she suffers in one foot. Just like in recent months, Letizia has worn some Metallic sandals with wide heels from the Italian firm Aquazurra.

Letizia has also made a difference from other occasions when she has worn the dress, leaving behind updos to opt for straight, loose hair, styled with volume.

Unlike other years, the queen did not choose large jewels this Monday, preferring to wear silver hoop earrings and her inseparable Coreterno ring.
