To celebrate His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s 6th cycle birthday anniversary on 28 July 2024 and on the occasion of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother’s birthday on 12 August 2024, the Queen Sirikit Park Foundation, together with 28 partner organizations that work in line with the royal initiative in conserving natural resources and the environment, is organizing the “Colorful Plants in Honor of the Queen” event, which is based on the royal policy of preserving, preserving, and expanding on the theme of the event, from 9 to 14 August 2024 at Queen Sirikit Park, Chatuchak District, Bangkok.
Queen Sirikit Park was established on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 5th cycle birthday anniversary on August 12, 1992 as a public park in the form of a natural forest garden, granted to the public for use as a place for relaxation and a place to collect and conserve plant species, to become a complete botanical garden, as well as to promote academic research in botany, including instilling a nature conservation attitude among youth and the general public.
The Queen Sirikit Garden Foundation, together with other relevant agencies, including the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Interior, the Office of the Basic Education Commission, the Ministry of Education, Kasetsart University, Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd., Charoen Pokphand Group, True Corporation Plc., and the Ornamental Plant Association of Thailand, jointly organized a press conference for “Colors of Plants in Honor of Her Majesty the Queen” for the year 2024 on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at the 72nd Anniversary Chalermprakiat Building, Queen Sirikit Garden.
Visitors to the event will learn about and appreciate the great kindness of His Majesty the King who has continued, preserved, and developed all aspects of the royal projects initiated by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great and Her Majesty the Queen Mother for the benefit of all Thai people through exhibitions organized by various agencies, such as the exhibition in honor of His Majesty the King, “72 Million Trees to Restore the Forest Project” by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the exhibition “Lady Slipper Orchids, Spectacular Colors, Continuing, Preserving, for the People of the Land” by the Department of Agriculture, and the exhibition “Thai Fish in the Poem of the Boat Song, Chom Pla” by the Department of Fisheries, etc.
