Quentin Tarantino recently praised the first three Toy Story films as such a good trilogy that he is not going to watch Toy Story 4, which was completed in 2019. Now the director of the Pixar hit has commented on the matter.
“For Toy Story, the third one is absolutely fantastic. It’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen. And it’s absolutely riveting if you’ve seen the previous two parts. Pixar then made a fourth Toy Story and I have no desire to see it. The story of Toy Story ended as perfectly as possible, so it doesn’t matter if Toy Story 4 is good. I had enough,” Quentin Tarantino stated in August on the Club Ranbdom podcast.
Now Toy Story 4 director Josh Cooley has commented on Quentin Tarantino’s comment The Hollywood Reporter in the interview.
In his terrible sorrows, Cooley does not seem to be of Tarantino’s line.
“He can do whatever he wants for me. I heard about that interview. He’s Tarantino. I love how passionate he is about everything and the Toy Story trilogy. A great thing for him”.
Toy Story 4 won the Oscar for best animated feature and collected over a billion dollars in box office sales, so maybe its creators can do without the love of the director of Pulp Fiction…
Disney and Pixar’s Fifth Toy Story will be released in the summer of 2026.
