Ramzan Kadyrov got his hands on more Cybertrucks for his Chechen military

Ramzan Kadyrov puts Tesla in a difficult position: three Cybertrucks are now in Chechnya, one of which was allegedly remotely disabled by Elon Musk.

Ramzan Kadyrov rekindles the controversy surrounding the Tesla Cybertruck. Last August, the Chechen leader posted a video of himself on social media parading around in a Cybertruck armed with a machine gun, which he said he wanted to send to the Ukrainian front. The whole thing was accompanied by a message of thanks to Elon Musk for this gift. It was enough to create a first wave of indignation, even if Elon Musk quickly denied having sent a Cybertruck to Ramzan Kadyrov.

A month later, on September 20, Ramzan Kadyrov once again returned to the spotlight with his Tesla Cybertruck. This time, the autocrat complained that his vehicle had been remotely disabled by Elon Musk. It was on this occasion that we discovered that this was not the only Cybertruck in Kadyrov’s possession.

Another story sewn with white thread

Ramzan Kadyrov is apparently a little upset that his new toy is broken. Of course, he is obviously far from a Tesla service center to have it repaired properly. In any case, he did not appreciate having to have his “iron horse”, as he called the Cybertruck in his message Telegram.

The culprit of this situation can only be Elon Musk. Ramzan Kadyrov also rekindles the controversy over the fact that this is a vehicle offered by the Tesla boss: ” This is not very nice of Elon Musk. He gives expensive gifts from the bottom of his heart, then turns them off remotely. »

Kadyrov calls Musk’s attitude cowardly, saying that “it’s not very manly.” He concludes his message with a question that sounds more like a plea: ” How can you do that, Elon? » (All that’s missing is a sad smiley).

Is it possible to immobilize a Tesla Cybertruck remotely? Tesla is able to act on vehicles remotely, so immobilizing them is theoretically possible. It remains difficult for the moment to judge the interest of the American manufacturer in doing so. It is easy to imagine that the brand would prefer that we forget the Kadyrov Cybertruck affair, rather than see this information come back in the media every month. Ramzan Kadyrov has not filmed or explained anything that could corroborate his theory, it is entirely plausible that the Cybertruck simply encountered a breakdown, like other vehicles circulating in the United States.

Elon Musk has yet to respond to Ramzan Kadyrov’s accusations about X.

Two more Cybertrucks were handed over to Chechen troops

The story does not end there, since Ramzan Kadyrov then published a second message Telegram accompanied by a video showing two other Cybertrucks. Both vehicles are covered in a tactical green tinted film to improve their camouflage. The integration of heavy weapons also seems more elaborate. In the video, the two vehicles are moving with another pickup in a terrain that is not a priori the front in Ukraine, but which suggests that the vehicles are ready to go there.

Ramzan Kadyrov also says in the message accompanying the video: ” Two more Cybertrucks are being sent to the special operation zone in Ukraine. Mobility, convenience, maneuverability – these qualities of an electric vehicle are in high demand here. They were not affected by remote deactivation. The cars operate smoothly and without failures. »

That Ramzan Kadyrov managed to get a Cybertruck was surprising, but the presence of two more examples in the country does not bode well. This could indicate that other vehicles will join the Chechen troops against the Ukrainians.

The conclusion of this second message, as a provocation, is certainly the most worrying: ” There’s no better advertisement for the Cybertruck. We know how to use them. » This is certainly not the best publicity for Tesla on an international scale.
