A powerful device
Today, Range Rover announces the follow-up to its flagship high-performance SUV: Introducing the Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO
The new Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO offers a striking exterior derived from high performance, with four new themes announced for 2024. Each theme has been carefully chosen to ensure its striking expressiveness and sporty personality on the road: Blue Nebula Matte, Ligurian Gloss Black, Marl Gloss Gray and Sunrise Satin Bronze.
Each theme brings together unique exterior color palettes with new carbon fiber finishes and SV Performance seats in a range of colors, offering customers a choice of innovative fabrics or Windsor leather, for a dynamic, technical and welcoming interior space. Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO also features exclusive markings on the front splitter, center console, door sills and access lights; these are the hallmarks of sports luxury that make it instantly recognizable.
Geraldine Ingham, Managing Director, Range Rover, said: “What makes the Range Rover Sport SV so desirable is its unique combination of dynamic performance, contemporary sports luxury design, its cutting-edge sensor technology and a wealth of options. In the first year, it was initially only available to customers by reservation. Today we announce the next step in our SV line, the Range Rover Sport SV EDITION TWO, available with new design themes that offer our most discerning customers the opportunity to enjoy the four unique characters of our high-performance luxury SUV.”
The new Range Rover Sport SV is the most powerful and dynamic Range Rover Sport to date, bringing together superior performance and dynamics with the Range Rover’s unique capability, refinement and minimalist design. Its suite of performance-enhancing technologies includes the most advanced suspension system in its class8 and a sensory sound system with wellness benefits.
In line with the high performance of the Range Rover Sport SV is the exclusive design of improved airflow that provides a more expressive and elegant aesthetic, with a selection of functional lightweight and technical materials that enhance its high performance capabilities.
Powered exclusively by a 635 PS and 750 Nm2 4.4-litre Twin-Turbo MHEV V8 petrol engine, the Range Rover Sport SV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds3 with a top speed of 180 mph.
That superior performance is made possible by a combination of features that deliver weight savings of up to 76 kg1, including the option of Carbon Ceramic brakes, as well as standard aerodynamic improvements including a carbon fiber bonnet.
Customers can now also choose a specially designed summer tire4 for the Range Rover Sport SV, which extends the car’s cornering capabilities, with lateral acceleration at constant driving parameters of up to 1.2G that can be achieved in the dry (an increase of 0.1G over on a standard all-season tire).
Developed jointly with technical partner Michelin, the Pilot Sport S 5 tire (275/40R23 front, 305/35R23 rear) is characterized by a different tread width composition in order to raise dynamic performance and wear to the highest possible level.
For use in winter or on all terrains, the standard installed Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires are recommended, which are distinguished by their unique construction, surface pattern and composition.
SV EDITION TWO: DESIGN THEMES
Four new design themes that are unique to the new SV EDITION TWO offer visually striking variations.
Instantly striking, the Nebula Blue specification features a matte finish – the color itself is inspired by the shores of the North Atlantic, and features a hint of green, with a color-shifting finish. This is teamed with a new Satin Forged Carbon exterior package, painted carbon fiber bonnet and 23-inch forged black alloy wheels – complemented by Blue Nebula brake calipers. Inside, SV Performance seats are upholstered in Light Cloud and Ebony Windsor leather.
For another theme, the Marl Gray gloss exterior is teamed with a Gloss Carbon Twill exterior package, an Exposed Carbon Twill hood and 23-inch Carbon Gloss wheels with Sunrise Copper calipers, offered with Rosewood and Ebony Windsor interiors.
The third theme offers a Sunrise Copper Satin exterior finish, with a Satin Carbon Twill exterior package, a painted carbon fiber hood, and 23-inch forged wheels with black alloy wheels with red anodized callipers. Inside, the seats are upholstered in Ebony Windsor leather.
The fourth and final exclusive theme includes a Ligurian Black gloss exterior with Satin Carbon Twill exterior package, an exposed carbon fiber hood and 23-inch Carbon Gloss wheels with contrasting Nano Yellow brake calipers, and an Ebony interior with Knit and UltrafabricsTM PU materials.
Within each theme, customers can opt for alternative wheels – including new 22-inch Diamond Turned alloy wheels with Satin Dark Gray contrast – plus different brake caliper colours. The exterior of each SV EDITION TWO can be specified with a body-colored roof, the new Satin Forged Carbon Fiber Package, or the Twill Carbon Fiber Package introduced on the SV EDITION ONE, according to the client’s wishes and depending on the exterior finish color.
Inside, new Satin Forged Carbon Fiber trim can be specified to match the exterior, with Twill Carbon Fiber trim also available, with matching carbon fiber seat backs. Every SV EDITION TWO comes with Body and Soul (BASS) seats and the option of Knit and UltrafabricsTM PU or Windsor leather.
Interior design
The interior design of the Range Rover Sport SV enhances the connection between car and driver, as it reflects its more focused, sporty character without compromising on luxury or refinement.
The exclusive SV Performance front seats feature built-in headrests, carbon fiber backrests, illuminated SV logos and sculpted bolsters to securely seat the driver and front passenger during high-performance driving. The 16-way adjustable seats have a massage function, and are heated and cooled to achieve the highest possible comfort. The cutting-edge automotive sensor technology in the Body and Soul Seat seats is installed as standard.
The matching rear seats – also heated and cooled – have a more dynamic design with accentuated side bolsters, but retain the power recline function and 60/40 split.
The redesigned steering wheel of the Range Rover Sport SV features more pronounced thumb grooves, a thicker wheel and an exclusive illuminated button for SV mode. SV mode is activated with a short press, and its suspension, powertrain, steering, transmission and Active Exhaust are immediately configured for the highest possible performance. A long press opens the Configurable Dynamics menu, where the driver can adjust the dynamic characteristics of the Range Rover Sport SV to his wishes.
The enlarged shift knobs incorporate innovative Edge-Lighting LED technology. If the vehicle is switched on, the +/- symbols are illuminated in white. When SV mode is activated, the lighting turns red.
