Reddit, the so-called community for communities, has undergone some major changes over the past year. Since the company’s IPO in February 2024, advertising options on the platform have been significantly expanded; Various new AI tools are primarily intended to support small businesses. What could be the reason why Reddit’s performance suddenly drops after months? Gabe goes on to write that Google is currently testing AI Overviews in the “People Also Ask” area. There may be a connection between this test and the decline in rankings – but the cause has not yet been finally clarified. Now it’s time to wait and see how the situation develops in the coming days.

In addition, Google is currently testing a function that should please many users: an even darker dark mode. As seen in the screenshots below, shared by SEO Manager Vijay Chauhan, the new mode is less gray and noticeably darker than the original Dark Mode. It is currently not known whether and when the feature will be rolled out comprehensively.
