Rapid’s goalkeeper marries an Australian star. He proposed to her in a dream setting and she said YES

Benjamin Siegrist, the goalkeeper who seems to have established himself in the Rapid’s goal, has an Australian fiancee. The 32-year-old Swiss is in love with radio and podcast producer Brittany Hockley.

The Antipozi star spoke in a podcast about how her relationship with Benjamin has changed since they got engaged.

Brittany Hockley said she loves him even more since he got down on one knee and claims she knew he was the one for her ever since they started dating.

“I love him infinitely, even before we got engaged I knew he was the one. I loved him so much! Then when we got engaged, I loved him even more,” she said.

The couple currently split their time between Australia and Romania, where Benjamin currently resides, being goalkeeper at Rapid. Despite being engaged, they are continuing their long-distance relationship for now, although Siegrist is considering a move to Australia in the future.

“I don’t think much will change. I proposed because I’m in love, so that doesn’t change… It doesn’t really change for me or for us. Obviously, the ultimate goal is to live together, of course… Somewhere along the way, after my career or even before it ends, I’d like to live in Australia. I love Australia. I like the people, how friendly they are,” said the Giulești goalkeeper, according to Daily Mail Australia.

Ben proposed to his fiancée this summer on a beach in the Maldives, where they arrived by helicopter. The goalkeeper of Rapid gave him a diamond ring.

The two met in November 2022 on the Raya dating app. Benjamin was in Australia with his former team Celtic Glasgow for a friendly against Sydney FC.

Benjamin Siegrist did not defend at all at Celtic in his two years there, being Joe Hart’s backup. He is, however, world champion with the Swiss Under 17 national team in 2009. He then participated with Switzerland in the London Olympics in 2012.

Siegrist was the starter in Rapid’s last two matches, having very good developments.
