CES 2025
Razer unveils new hardware and software at CES 2025. Among other things, there is a thin laptop with RTX 5090, new gaming chairs, cloud gaming and AI ideas.
There are also some gaming hardware specialists at the current CES 2025. The US manufacturer Razer has brought a whole portfolio of innovations – including a new version of the gaming notebook called Razer Blade 16. At its thinnest point, the laptop should only measure 1.49 cm and still have powerful hardware.
This includes, among other things, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 as a processor and the recently introduced mobile version of the Nvidia Geforce RTX 5090. The 16-inch display uses an OLED panel with QHD+ resolution and a 240 Hertz refresh rate. However, Razer does not name a price for the new Blade 16. The release is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
In addition to other new hardware and accessories such as “Project Arielle” – the first mesh chair with an integrated heating and cooling system – Razer is also adding new software solutions to the portfolio. This includes the new solution called “PC Remote Play” for the in-house Nexus app, with which PC games can be played on mobile devices via streaming. Much information about the requirements is not provided, but Razer at least promises no loss of visual quality.
Aside from that, Razer is also among the AI developers: “Project Ava” is set to launch a special AI solution for competitive players, which, at least at first glance, could come dangerously close to cheating accusations. According to the manufacturer, Ava not only evaluates official information about APIs provided by the game developers, but also continuously analyzes screenshots created while the game is running. The extent to which multiplayer games are willing to allow such measures is still an open question.
