Razer released the new BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% gaming keyboard

The novelty fulfills all the most essential features of a flagship model in its own class, from the OLED screen to the double molded PBT keycaps and comprehensive RGB lighting.

Razer, which calls itself the leading lifestyle brand for gamers, has strengthened its keyboard selection with the new BlackWidow model. The novelty keyboard belongs to the popular 75% size category.

As the name suggests, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% is a 75% size class wireless keyboard. In the upper right corner of the keyboard, there is an OLED screen and the Razer Command Dial, as it should be in a modern top gaming keyboard. The RGB lighting helps the player achieve the best game results, where the light strips on the ends complement the brightness of the keys. The keycaps are double molded PBT plastic, so you don’t have to worry about excessive wear.

The new BlackWidow comes pre-equipped with the company’s own 3rd generation tactile Orange switches, but supports hot-swapping switches for both 3- and 5-pin switches. The cover of the keyboard is made of aluminum and under it is a gasket-mounted white FR4 board with fiberglass. There is a thick layer of foam to absorb the noise and the circuit board is covered with fireproof tape, which makes the sound profile lower. For essential keys, there are stabilizers attached to the circuit board with screws, pre-lubricated with Krytox GPL 205g0.

Under the keyboard structure itself, there is a 4200 mAh battery and another foam layer before the base made of ABS plastic. According to the company, the battery has enough power for up to 2100 hours on a single charge at best, but that requires the use of power saving mode, which would undoubtedly mean giving up the vital RGB lighting, for example. The keyboard is crowned by a magnetically attached, artificial leather-covered wrist rest.

BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% wirelessly supports the company’s own 2.4 GHz HyperSpeed Wireless protocol with a maximum update frequency of 4000 hertz, and a maximum of three devices via Bluetooth 5.1. The keyboard is charged with a USB-C cable and, if desired, also works in wireless mode with it, as long as the user remembers to change the keyboard mode from the switch found behind it.

Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro 75% is on pre-sale immediately in the company’s own online store, but only with the US ISO layout. However, based on other V4 models, a Nordic version of the keyboard can also be expected for other retailers. In Razer’s online store, the price of the keyboard is 349.99 euros and its deliveries will start on September 24, when its sales will also start by retailers.
