Razercon 2024 new products. Sensory mat for players and others

This year’s edition of RazerCon was full of unexpected premieres and products that gamers may like. What was presented at the conference and how were the new products priced?

Razer Freyja – a sensory mat for gamers and more

One of the most anticipated and probably the most interesting products was the Razer Freyja haptic mat. Equipped with Razer Sensa HD Haptics technology, Freyja will offer gamers something they haven’t had the chance to experience before. Thanks to six advanced haptic actuators, users can feel the direction, distance and intensity of the game action. This mat not only enriches the gaming experience, but also improves the experience when watching movies or listening to music, which seems to be quite a strange but intriguing concept – I would like to check it out in person. The price of the Razer Freyja is EUR 299.99, which may be a barrier for some gamers, but it will certainly find people willing to try such technology. Freyja has six haptic engines arranged to provide a precise, omnidirectional experience, which increases spatial awareness and allows you to feel the direction, distance and intensity of in-game events.

Razer Kraken V4 Pro headphones

The Razer Kraken V4 Pro is a headset centered on the OLED Control Hub, inspired by audio amplifiers, and featuring an OLED display positioned at an ergonomic 20-degree angle. Control Hub acts as a command center, offering over 20 customization options, including management of audio and haptic settings and the ability to upload custom images and animations. Thanks to Sensa HD Haptics technology, Kraken V4 Pro offers synchronized haptic effects across devices, turning every audio cue and gameplay action into what the manufacturer calls a tangible experience. The feature is already fully supported by games such as Hogwarts Legacy and Silent Hill 2.

Kraken V4 Pro is equipped with patented 40 mm Razer TriForce Bio-Cellulose drivers, which improve sound clarity while reducing distortion. Thanks to THX Spatial Audio technology, the set offers advanced 7.1 surround sound, and thanks to THX custom game profiles, players can immerse themselves in the action thanks to profiled settings designed to increase realism. The Kraken V4 Pro offers multiple connectivity options, including Razer HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth, USB Wired, and a 3.5mm jack. OLED Control Hub allows you to connect up to three audio sources simultaneously, allowing you to seamlessly switch between devices.

Razer Laptop Cooling Pad

Razer also unveiled a new cooling pad for laptops: the Razer Laptop Cooling Pad. It is designed for laptops with a diagonal of 14 to 18 inches and the pad is equipped with intelligent fan control and a hermetic pressure chamber. Thanks to this, its owners will be able to enjoy optimal cooling of their devices, which – according to the pad manufacturer – may even extend the life of laptops and more. In this case, however, we do not know the details regarding the price and availability of this pad – they will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2024.

RazerCon 2024 also saw the unveiling of an improved version of the Razer Synapse 4 app, which offers a modernized interface and improved personalization. The new version is compatible with devices connected to Synapse 3, ensuring a smooth transition for users of older versions. Razer does not intend to rest on its laurels and there is already speculation about what products may appear in the future. It is possible that the company will soon present new versions of its popular Razer Blade laptops, equipped with even more advanced cooling technologies and refreshed displays.
