RB out to Singapore? Daniel Ricciardo knows nothing about it “at the moment”

There are increasing signs that Daniel Ricciardo will have to give up his cockpit at the Racing Bulls after the Formula 1 race in Singapore. Before what could be his last appearance in the premier class of motorsport, however, the Australian does not want to hear anything about being kicked out.

For several days now, there have been persistent rumors that Daniel Ricciardo is about to leave the Racing Bulls. The media are speculating that the Australian will be replaced after this weekend’s Grand Prix in Singapore. The veteran reacts calmly to the rumors.

“I am aware that there is a lot of talk and speculation about the rest of the season, but I don’t know anything about that at the moment,” said the 35-year-old in a media round on Thursday: “The decision I expect is for next year. Of course, I can’t give too many details about the contract, but we are now entering that window in terms of dates. In principle, I expect a yes or no for 2025.”

Formula 1: Ricciardo does not believe he will be kicked out of the Racing Bulls

Nevertheless, Ricciardo, who has only scored points three times this season and is well behind in the team’s internal duel with Yuki Tsunoda, is aware of the tense situation surrounding his future. “Of course, crazy things have happened in this sport, so I’m not going to stand around here arrogantly and brim with confidence,” he explained.

When asked if he thought the Singapore GP would be his last race in Formula 1, Ricciardo replied: “I don’t think so. People have not finished the season before, so in a way it’s nothing new. So I don’t want to be like, ‘Oh, one hundred percent, I’ll bet my house on it…’. I’ve just been doing it too long for that.”

Ricciardo said he “really doesn’t know what’s going to happen now. It can change so quickly. But I just have to try to keep my head down this weekend. And give some ass-kicks.”
