The “White Ballet” could only regret the injury of Carvajal, who was taken away by medics on a stretcher after the clash with Pino.
The score of the match between Español and Mallorca was opened in the 18th minute by the home team Kumbulla, who headed in Jofre’s cross. Shortly after the start of the second half, it was Jofre who surprised the goalkeeper Greif with a hard ground shot from the edge of the goal area and increased the score to 2:0. The visitors only managed to reduce the score in the 68th minute with a goal by Raíllo after a corner kick.
Mallorca, sixth so far, suffered their first defeat after three victories. Español moved to 12th place in the incomplete table.
