Fagerhult presents Recipe of Light, a new visualization tool designed to help advisors and decision makers make informed decisions about sustainable lighting.
With the tool, users can easily create their own “recipes” for lighting, while taking climate footprint, human needs and economic factors into account.
User-friendly and developed with experts.
Recipe of Light has been developed by Fagerhult in close collaboration with lighting designers, architects and electrical installers from all over Europe. The result is a tool that meets the needs of a wide range of professionals across different markets.
Visualization and sustainability at the center
“The engagement has been enormous and has emphasized the need for a user-friendly visualization tool that can support a meaningful dialogue with customers. We have incorporated feedback and suggestions, and now Recipe of Light is available to everyone via our website,” says Henrik Clausen, director of Fagerhult Lighting Academy.
The visualization happens in real time and the tool illustrates how each choice affects:
Climate: Measured as CO2 emissions.
Humans: Effect on visual comfort, biological rhythms and emotional well-being.
Economy: Product prices and energy consumption.
At the same time, the tool highlights important aspects such as presence and daylight control as well as the quality of the luminaires – all in accordance with current legislation and standards.
Strengthens the decision-making process
“Our goal with Recipe of Light is to give companies and organizations a strong foundation for making sustainable decisions. The tool clearly shows how to balance environmental, social and economic priorities in lighting solutions,” says Henrik Clausen.
